ABSA insurance
My house burned down last year September. The way that ABSA is treating us and the service provider appointed by ABSA, just raise questions.... Assessment after 11months not completed on what I had, but I need to pay in for almost everything that the SP is doing. But for things over quoted he pocket more than 300% on an item. Fraught case will be open, they treat us like *********. We were so traumatized, no support from ABSA. They even claim that we are holding up the construction work, but the SP only arrive at work after 11:00 and leave at 16:00 with a lunch break. And working perhaps 2-3 days. And not even talking about the quality of work been done. They even do not want to pay for accommodation while the house is not completed, while we stay in a Parkhome which is less than what they should have paid for us for accommodation. They do not want to pay for tiles which has been damaged during construction, and the rain season where my house had no roof. They claim it is wear and tear. My paving which has burn marks will also not be paid. So I as the consumer must be worse off than before, but if I make small changes to the house they are quick to say that they do not cover bettering. What is bettering, for ABSA to have less risk that the geysers are now outside of the building and not inside. No wooden frames but aluminum frames, no more wooden decks for eco friendly recycle plastic decks............. The service provider is not even on site to check on the work, my husband is like a foreman to him to do things. We need to get quotes as he lie to us about prices, and make more than the mark up price. ABSA informed me that the money of the difference can't be use to move around on things that was under quoted but we need to pay in. That is not the game to play and I will after 11 months not tolerate this kind of service anymore. I have more than 5 000 photos to show where things which was not damaged by the fire but to the contractor that the Snr Assessor change the BIC to accommodate the contractor. But no, we must pay in for every little thing.
