ABSA Insurance

I would like to complain about ABSA Bank Insurance. During January 2021 after heavy rain we discovered a roof leakage and register a complain at ABSA. Claim no ***. A contractor was send out and the claim to fix the roof was approved. However after the roof was fixed it rained again it was clear that the problem of the roof was not solved. The contractor aswell as ABSA were informed and the contractor came back several times to try to fix the problem. This repair work continue until 18 January 2022, the contractor then arrived with a roof specialist. The roof was inspected and the contractor informed us that he will send the report to ABSA to repair the roof. And since then we never heard from ABSA or the contractor. During February 2023 after another heavy rainstorm the leakage was even worse with allot of damage. Another complain was registered at ABSA , complain no ***. On 30 March 2023 we received a letter from ABSA to inform us that our claim was rejected due to fact that the damage was not caused by the rain but poor maintenance, but it is clear that the damage reported from the first claim was never fixed since the leakage was reported in January 2021 We phone ABSA to explain to them that problem was never solved since we first registered a complain. However the consultant did not understand and could not resolve our problem.

It is clear that the damage on the roof was never properly fixed by the contractor appointed by ABSA and caused more damage to the house as it seems that the contractor is not a roof specialist. It was reported to ABSA and the contractor but untill now the problem is not resolved.
