ABSA *****ING FUNDS WITH ATM CASH DEPOSITS

On 02.11.2025 @ 11:44 we went to ABSA ATM at SOMERSET MALL entrance 2,as the ABSA BANK's ATM's was out of order. I made a cash deposit into my father in law credit card account, the ATM came up with the following error: TRANSACTION UNSUCCESSFUL, PLEASE VISIT YOUR NEAREST BRANCH, The ATM ONLY SPAT OUT R700.00 from R6000.00.

I tried phoning ABSA immediately to solve this issue as this is no small change, I only got WE ARE EXPERIENCING HIGH CALL VOLUMES, Straight thereafter the call was cut, I tried phoning today 03.11.2025 again, same thing. My fiance went to the branch and they advise him come back tomorrow to open a case, after all evidence was shown to ABSA to solve this issue, their argument was, your fiance should come open the case, as she is the one who did the deposit. my fiance was standing right there with me when making the deposit 02.11.2025.

I am not very happy with this situation at all. ABSA is *****ing your funds left right and centre and sending you away. I will not leave this here. I will visit the ABSA SOMERSET tomorrow morning at 8am. If not resolved I will come back and leave another nasty review for ABSA so everyone can see what ABSA is doing to your funds.
