Absa incompetence mind boggling

I entered into a payment agreement with Absa (via LGR law firm) regarding my credit card debt in July 2021. I subsequently fully honoured the agreement paying the agreed upon amount back over a three month period ending on 30 September 2021. I was promised a paid-up letter once the debt was repaid, but never received this. On October 25, 2021 I received a notice from Sudheer Maharaj at Absa stating that Absa has sold my account to MBD Legal Collections and that Absa's relationship with me in respect of this account has now come to an end. I questioned this notice stating the facts and providing all the relevant information, but to date this matter has not been concluded. For the sake of brevity I will summarise by saying that I have sent a deluge of emails to Absa (to five different departments) as well as to LGR and MBD since October 2021. I have sat in the Sea Point branch of Absa for hours trying to get answers, I have phoned all three parties involved, numerous times, but the buck seems to be passed on and no one is willing or able to assist me. The most recent email I sent was addressed to ***, on the advice of an Absa representative during a telephone conversation I had on Friday, 6 May 2022. To date I have not received a reply. The above matter is directly affecting my credit score and I have recently been refused auto finance as well as finance for a MacBook and as a result I have lost out on a work opportunity. My private life has also been adversely affected. It is astonishing that Absa is not able to resolve such a simple matter and is willing to let this drag on for such an extended period of time. I have decided to get legal advice on this matter as I feel that financial losses have been suffered by me as a direct result of Absa's unwillingness to resolve this issue.
