ABSA Incompetence lost me money.

App**** for a home loan and got approval for r800k. I accepted quotation and then got contacted by Twala Attorneys who had been instructed by ABSA to register the bond. Submitted all the required documents, went to sign, signed the loan agreement for R800k and also paid the attorneys fees. 2 days later, I received a call from the attorneys, they had received a new loan agreement from ABSA for an amount of R680k. This meant that I had to pay an additional R120K to add to the deposit, which I don't have, so the sell fell through.

After much trouble, I found out that ABSA had neglected to take into account the value of the property. They never should have offered 800k, it should have been R680k.

Fine if it should be R680K. Had they offered me that in the beginning, I would have declined the quotation, we never would have reached the lawyer stage in the process and I never would have paid the attorneys.
I'm now failing to get a refund from Twala Attorneys, they give me the run around. I am in this mess because of ABSA and their erroneous awarding of the R800k.

The valuation was done BEFORE the initial quotation. Incompetence - not taking into account ALL available info.
