Absa - Im sorry! Enough is enough!
<p>My business account with ABSA has been locked four times for Fica reasons. No warning given just locked so that no transaction via card or internet banking can take place. This will be my fourth time I go into my local branch to sign papers for Fica. Im assured everytime its all up to date now and so sorry for the inconvenience caused! No more! 2 days now and still no access to my money! And dont give me the excuse that my account manager is new and still learning and just be patient.Then the person is not competent for the position they are in and not competent to be looking after my money. Done with ABSA!</p>

It is 4:30pm on 20 October and my Absa business account is still under lock down. Been 3 days now! I cant pay my debtors who are all waiting for money, cant withdraw any cash. Dont know how I am going to pay wages for tomorrow. If I was an Absa Private Banker I would have been given a courtesy call to come in to my local branch and sign the Fica papers and my account would not go into lock down mode (because my parents are private bankers with Absa and this is what they did for them) but Im not.....so no warning is given, no call to say please come in lets sort out the Fica papers before your account goes into lock down mode! Nothing! Stranded, desperate and phoning the ombudsman tomorrow.
