ABSA house structure insurance worth nothing?
Absa home building insurance - I do not know why I have it. My 2nd claim (small claim) in 34 years and it is declined. After a heavy rain downpour during the night of 20 Feb my house electrical system is damaged and malfunctioning as well as a fridge and electric gate. After 4 days when I enquired regarding my claim for this damage, I was told that they do not entertain electrical damage! I really thought that electrical damage due to a thunderstorm is part of the house structure insurance? I think the next step is to contact the ombudsman regarding this issue!!
