ABSA HOUSE INSURANCE A RUDE AWAKENING

I would not recommend anyone to use ABSA HOUSEOWNERS INSURANCE after this experience. It has left me disillusioned with ABSA and I will not be using any of the other service products as a result. This has only added more stress to my life with ABSA not caring about me as customer.

ABSA HOUSEOWNERS SCHEME

We have been trying since of 1 August 2023 to cancel the policy but ABSA have not been helpful in processing this.

Our emails on the 1st, 4th and 24th are met with asking us for transfer papers when all we want is to cancel the policy regardless of whether we end up selling or not.

We no longer wish to have any houseowners insurance policy with ABSA as per our first request to terminate the policy. Even though we stopped the debit order for these payments we have had two payments taken out of our banking account- that is unacceptable.

On the 4th October 2023 we were in telephonic contact with your offices and spoke to a Zanele to cancel the policy; we were told that we would get confirmation of the cancellation by end of day with still nothing coming through as of the 5th October 2023.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY ABSA SERVICES TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT USING THEM.
