Absa : Horrible service to the disabled
Absa : Horrible service to the disabled
I have been an absa client for long time and I have received poor service on multiple occasions, struggling with services pertaining to my unit trusts and paying extremely high bank charges at certain times, but the complain I lodge now is so basic,it is shocking.
I have a disability and for ease of use I make use of the absa baking app..... on Friday the 30 August I made an EFT transfer to a friend of R1800 to friend who also has a disability who needed the money to reflect in her account on 2 September or 3 September as she needed the money to pay urgent necessities in her household such as her carer, today is the 4th and the money is still not reflected in her account, what is more her bank capitec says that no transactions has been logged in her account, for the time that I actioned the payment (and I have proof of payment).
And the consultant I spoke today said these payment can take up to 72 hours which is not standard banking practice or what they state on their website. it states between 24 and 48 hours.
Absa is now saying I have to write an email to eft enquirers department, should the money not be in her account today( given the current trend it wont be) and then we have to wait up to two more days.
This is truly unacceptable, if I were a platinum client I would never be treated with such disregard. Banking institutions such as absa need to understand the majority of the clients are normal working class people and the services standards that they offer to the wealthy, should be extended to all.
Plainly put this is really really bad service.
