ABSA HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE ****!!!!

ABSA homeowners insurance is not to be trusted! after 16 years in our home we make a claim for a collapsed section of our roof. it is an internal section in an unaccessible area, they decline the clain stating poor workmanship of an extension. this extension was built before we bough the house. According to ABSA we where responsible for ensuring an extension we didnt know about was built up to a standard. apparently when their valuations team go out they only check for value to protect themselves not defects! after two days i have two declines from the insurance, the homeowners section have still to call bac**** DONT TRUST THEM!!!

ABSA insurance just dont get this!! after a replay was sent earlier regarding the first message, the origional respondant from ABSA Insurance sends another mail, again proof of dispute falls to me, the customer! somewhere you would think that they could get someone to call set up an appointment and try to resolve this!! nope just a mail from someone who has zero customer care or awareness!

so after more calls back and forth, in one call the agent stated that the evaluation when we bought the house checked the structure, when i stated that the claim is for a structural issue he backtracked, very quickly!! I thought maybe we wold be able to get an appointment with someone from the insurance section and we would not have to deal with someone whose title is "Back office specialist". Maybe someone, besides a contractor who came to our house to evaluate a roof issue without a ladder /steps, and another contractor who was a hour late and in a rush to get somewhere else, from this company would take some time, to evaluate where or how we could be liable for this. Maybe face to face we could agree, even if it was still not a decision in our favour. Nothing!!! ABSA insurance don't do that!! They just place the onus on us to change their decision, in terms of the CPA the onus should be on them to prove their decision! As for ABSA home loans department, i mailed them 22.12 and received a mail back to say they will be in contact shortly, as yet two weeks later, not a word!!! i WANT TO SEE THE EVALUATION ON THE HOUSE, I PAID FOR IT! , they claim that they don't check the structure, they just check for value to protect themselves, yet the cost is for the customer, how can that be?

ABSA INSURANCE PREMIUM COVERS ABSA AND THEIR PROFITS! THEY ARE A COMPANY WHO LIKE TO FIND A REASON TO DECLINE A CLAIM AND SAY NO!!!!
