ABSA HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE

Claim was placed in November 2016 after that extreme storm. We have been told all kinds of stories about the claim, when I call on a weekly basis. I have spoken to Dudu on Monday, who promised to come back to me on Monday afternoon - still waiting for her call. Tuesday I spoke to Stephens who promised that claim would be finalised by the afternoon. Wednesday spoke to Charlene who advised that they have some queries on the claim. This claim has been in for over 8 weeks. Such *********** service. Am in the process of getting quotes to move my insurance.

I am still waiting for a response from ABSA. Received an email from Buhle on Friday advising that she is handling my query. There is no sense of urgency with ANYONE at ABSA. I have already cancelled one of my insurance policies with ABSA. Will be moving my cheque account from ABSA soon. SERVICE is shocking

I have cancelled my insurance with ABSA as never received any response from all avenues including Customer Service or ActionLine. They advised that my claim was rejected on 7th January however no one had informed me or sent me rejection letter. Apparently claim was rejected on "lack of maintenance" where outside assesor advised that it was a "act of nature"
