ABSA homeloans

I mistakenly paid money intended for school fees into my ABSA home loan account. I immediately contacted ABSA and they informed me that they would not refund the money because there were three “holds” on my home loan account , which have never been communicated with me, proof of property insurance, FICA, and previous arrears. I submitted the property insurance documents on 13 February 2026 to both the Property Insurance team and the Home Loan department. I also submitted the FICA documents. Despite confirming telephonically on 19 February 2026 that my property insurance documents were indeed received, ABSA has now come back and falsely claimed that the documents were not submitted. At this point, it is clear that ABSA is unnecessarily delaying the refund of my own money, even though I do not owe them anything. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the poor service and contradictory communication I am receiving.
