Absa Home Refuse to increase debit order.

I wanted to INCREASE my home loan debit order amount going of my cheque account. Absa said no my wife has to give permission to increase this debit order. I said no she does not have permission to increase any debit order on my account since she does NOT have signature power on my account. They dont want to do it....I must ask my wife for permission on a debit order that goes off my account.
