Absa Home Loans Appealing Client Services
Between June and July 2023, this year I opted for a short term payment arrangement with the intention of attending to a once off financial commitment. I selected either the 3 month or 6 months ( you will be able to see my records, you will know). Long story short I cancelled the payment arrangement the first month because I was ill informed by the assisting agent. Initially the e-mails advised that you will have an opportunity to factor in the arrears to the total owing amount, however after the first month I get a bad credit report stating I've skipped a payment, secondly Absa is now informing me my bond is in arrears ( but the very same arrangement caused it), however I cancelled it immediately once I learned of this rather nonsensical manner of doing business, post the cancellation one would think they will now factor in the so called "arrears " into the total amount owing ( which makes business sense) now I have an "arrears payment" which was never correctly explained and post the cancellation I get an e-mail detailing an adjusted rate, not related to repo rate... so in essence I have an arrears payment which is weighing me down, to top it off, I have a higher rate.... So had I not opted for the arrangement I would've been fine, but this is utter *******. You first provide minimal information just to hook the client once they are in a vulnerable position then once they find out its actually a bad deal then they get mark by all financial service providers as a bad payer, and top it of with a higher interest rate.... Lastly I am fed up with always informing you that I am the main applicant on this bond, I am the paying applicant, it makes no sense that you send all correspondence to a none-paying applicant.
Best regards,
