ABSA Home Loan - Re-advance application Nightmare
We app**** for the re-advance on our home loan in January 2020. We were declined due to the fact that my husband did not have a stable income at that stage. His company was liquidated in February 2018 and was out of work for 2 years. He was employed permanently in February 2020.
I submitted the application to the consultant that assisted us in January 2020, on Monday, 19 October 2020. I followed up on Monday, 2 November 2020. I followed up again on Monday, 9 November (including her manager that I commended on her feedback in January). I followed up again on Thursday, 12 November 2020. She then confirmed on that day that she will capture the request.
Subsequently I followed up again on Friday, 27 November 2020 and again on Wednesday, 2 December 2020?
We desperately need feedback - as we need to ensure the account for the schools are paid in full, before the school will handover the rapport card.
My wife has a private banker - but this person is nowhere to be found or available to assist with this matter?
As mentioned above -- for 2 months no one attended to our application. Now the application was submitted, and they did not look at the October date - they looked at the December date (where we had unforeseen medical expenses).
I have dealt with ABSA for 2 months - and firstly they didn't process my application in due course and then they also confirmed the amount available as less than that was communicated a year ago (luckily I have an e-mail).
Now they sent the decline letter, on which I sent a response where I requested confirmation of the discussion we had --- the reasons we were declined? the accounts that is reflecting in arrears etc.. I received a phone call that the discussion was just to assist, they are not prepared to put anything in writing.
This is the reason I moved my Cheque Account away from ABSA!
