ABSA home loan fails to after post loan service.
I have just spent four months in a time wasting exercise with ABSA home loans. I made an application for a R100 000 extension on a R900 000 bond that I used to pay the balance of my R2.5m property, to do some home renovations. In the four months since submitting my initial request for information, I was never given an accurate assessment of my risk, with the decline being attributed to a entirely fictional missed payment. The individual coordinating my application didn't return my calls or respond to my mails. She failed to supply me with the necessary information to support the submission of a complete application, and then didn't inform me when the loan was declined- leaving me to piece things together after the fact. I am a dual income, no kids, above average earner with a tenant with a lease in place for the property. The decline only makes sense in the context of a complete lack of interest on the behalf of the call center agent. What I wouldn't do to get back those hours spent trying to extract info from the call center...
