ABSA - HOME LOAN DISASTER SERVICE

On 23 June we made contact with Maria Hugo from the Worcester branch to apply for a building loan of R115 000. It was clearly stated that we had two projects running, ours and a seperate granny flat that was being funded by my mother. We therfore only app**** for our portion. We received approval for the loan on 6 August which in our view was too long. We then put in our first payment certiifcate on 23 Sept which was immediately forwarded to for payment. For more than 2 weeks Maria tried to get hold of Freddie Erusmus from CT Home Loan Branch to approve payment. We were then informed that 70% of the work on our & my moms project had to be completed as the application was incorrectly logged and it stated that the retention value included both my loan as well as the money that my mother was paying herself. We were then told we should re-apply for a new loan as this would be easier. Everything was re-done, we followed up after a week and were then told they never cancelled the first loan so we are again another 2 weeks further & still NO PAYOUTS. We have had to loan money from family as we were told everything was approved we wouldnt have started building if we werent given approval
