ABSA - home insurance total incompetence
We have been trying since November to get storm damage in the Western Cape repaired but am still waiting after repeated emails to them.
Once again I am disappointed and shocked by ABSA’s incompetence, understanding and handling of this simple claim. Once again without failure you have revealed incompetence and a lack understanding of the incident. 1 Your appointed assessor told my wife and I while he was standing on the roof that the reason why the roof was leaking was because the strong storm winds had lifted the metal sheeting of the flashing around the chimney(which held the tile down) and got underneath and had blown/lifted the tile. 2 The dripping onto the ceiling started during that particular storm, which did not come from the normal North West our normal rain bearing prevailing wind. 3 It had rained a week or so before and about a month before that and there was no dripping on the ceiling or shifted leaking tile. 4 What you are saying above does not correspond to what your assessor told us. 5 Do you have wind analysis facts for the incident date in the Western Cape that you can claim this with cer*****y or is this a typical attempt to fob off the claimant?
