Absa Home insurance policy cancellation nightmare

On 7 May 2021 I sent a email to *** to cancel home owner insurance policy nr. ***. The house bond was cancelled and house paid in full on 2019-05-20, we only kept the insurance afterwards. All relevant documents were sent id's, proof of bond cancellation and written and signed cancellation notice. So this was only a insurance policy and no bond related matter as bond was cancelled already on 2019-05-20 and we only kept the insurance policy afterwards. I got a case reference number C-***6 on 2021-05-07 from ***. Then no response and I sent them another email on 2021-05-14 asking why no response and got another case reference from them,C-***5. Then on 2021-05-26 I got email from Moosa Patel,Vetting Consultant, HOC Policy Administration & Underwriting saying that I need to send them my external policy to vet. Once my external policy meets all Absa's requirements they will send me a cession document to sign. This is wrong as they don't read my communication. The bond was long cancelled and I don't need them to vet me as I owe Absa nothing and only kept the policy after the bond was cancelled and don't need them to vet my policy from other insurance business. The house doesn't belong to Absa and bond is paid in full and bond account closed in 2019 as stated already. So Absa doesn't have a say in which external policy I choose or that they needed to be vetted. They only need to cancel policy as I requested. I even sent a email to *** (their customer care) on 17May 2021 explaining the matter. If I still had a bond or the bond account wasn't closed I could understand which is not the case here. Why do they have to make it so difficult? This forces me now to go cancel the debit order so that this policy can expire. I'm very disappointed in how they handle this matter as if they read that there was no bond since 2019 and no bond account since that time and it was only the home insurance policy that was kept afterwards everything was settled due to ease and saw that all relevant documentation was supp**** like Id's, bond cancellation letter, official absa insurance cancellation form( that was EVEN handed in at bank branch) and written insurance policy cancellation notice. So after cancelling the relevant debit order and it's still going on I would be forced to refer it to the Ombudsman
