Absa Home Insurance - Money down a drain

I registered a claim for my swimming pool pump with Absa Home Insurance on the 16th of October. The assessor only came out on the 22nd, after cancelling twice before that. On arrival, all they did was take a photo of the pool and pump. No tools, no opening up and taking a look. I was then promised to get feedback on my claim on the 23rd. That did not happen. I phoned the claims department twice after that to follow up, and on both occasions were told that they'll phone me back shortly with feedback. No one phoned me back. Today I receive the result. Claim rejected. This came with a detailed diagnosis of what went wrong with the pump, although no investigation took place. The assessor was at my home for not more than 3 minutes. This is appaling, and I shudder to think what they'll think of to reject bigger claims. For peace of mind, do not make use of Absa Home Insurance

Reviewer Update
Good day. After two rejections, I contacted an independent service provider to come and take my pump away for inspection. They then provided me with a report and quote which I sent back to Absa. I have now followed up twice via email, and twice via telephone on the status. Emails are auto-replies with no helpful information, and the consultants on the phone tell me that someone will contact me shortly with an update. I have not yet received a call. This is shocking.
