Absa has lost our policy document!

When we took out a bond at Absa (***) , we were forced to take our two life policies - I had a Sanlam policy on my husband's life and he had a Sanlam policy on my life. When the bond was paid in full, Absa returned my policy to me but we received a letter dated 17 March 2010 from Absa stating, \we inform you that the term of the loan has expired and that your bond's documents have been placed in Safe Custody"which we presumed included my husband's life policy which was used as surety for the bond. I have written at least 50 emails to Absa requesting that this policy document be returned to us - so far I have received the most ridiculous answers from them. Obviously the people working at Absa have no idea what a mortgage bond is"
