Absa has erroneously/incorrectly detected a SIM SWAP

Absa has erroneously/incorrectly detected a SIM SWAP and, as a result, has restricted me from performing certain transactions. I have called Absa at least 6 times, written to Action Line, written to my Private Banker, written to Private Banking and phoned some more. I'm sorry but I simply will NOT pay R460 per month for this level of service. LIFT THIS HOLD so that I can close my accounts!

Eventually, after three agonising days of phone calls and emails to ActionLine, the Private Banker and the Private Banking Suite, to get the “SIM SWAP DETECTED” hold released, I was fortunate enough to get through to Nonhlankla Kubheka (Absa Auckland Park Contact Centre). Nonhlanhla successfully and efficiently resolved my query, with the assistance of Priyal Bharuth (Internet Banking Consultant Assisted). Both Nonhlankla as well as Priyal were both very helpful (Nonhlanhla even called me back), efficient and knowledgeable so thank you so much to both of you for that. It’s a pity that your colleagues whom I have been dealing with over the last couple of days were not quite so helpful.
