ABSA frustrates as always!!

I recently got married. I was informed by the Homeloans call centre in order to change my Mortgage loan acc to my married name I only need to take my Marriage certificate and my ID to effect the change. After waiting in a queue for 35 mins in an empty bank at Greenstone Mall. (If it was busy I would probably have been there 3 hrs!! ), I was told I need proof of residence. Firstly i was not told I need to take this along(we do we even bother phoning call centres?) and secondly these are still in my previous surname, as i have not had the time to go to the Municipality to change the account, so i was told they wouldn't help me anyway. Then I got told that my husband needs to do a letter stating that i live with him, but he has no proof of residence, as it is my property - so how does that act as proof of residence??!! What I don't understand is that my address has not changed. I have been Rica'd or Fica'd or whatever already!! Why does ABSA need the Proof of residence. Now my account is till not in my married name. After wasting 45 minutes in the bank, I now need to return on another day and have my time wasted!!! Amazingly Capitec changed all my details . I was in and out of the bank in 7 minutes - and there were double the amount of people in Capitec as in ABSA!!!!!
