Absa ********** rewards account

<p>On the 12/07/2017 I received and email from Absa Rewards welcoming me to the rewards program however I have NEVER banked with Absa and I have NEVER requested to join the rewards program. I called an a very helpful lady within the rewards department advise me that a rewards membership was taken out in my name on the 26/06/2017 from the Absa branch in Horison, I have never set foot inside Absa at Horison yet alone requested to be a rewards member? I was given ********** ********** as my membership number. The account was opened by Mrs LNR Booi. My concern is if a rewards account can so easily be opened with out my consent how easy would it be to then open an account/credit card in my name without my consent? I can be contacted on ********** 103 and would like this issue resolved immediately. </p>
