ABSA *****

I have a complain on how Marvin Webb and his manager are handling my case on *****. The try to force me now to sign this letter which I've told them many times I'm not going to sign because It's not in my benefit. Then I went to the police and was told that ABSA cases for ***** are like almost 90% in comparison to the other banks. I've done everything I could and ABSA is really not a team player when it comes to their clients. Then on Monday they only pay me 2% of what was ****** out of my acc and tell me that I must sign or else they are going to stop the investigation. So now I'm looking for advice: Here's the letter they send me: Blessings Johan

Consent and Indemnity I, the undersigned (FULL NAME) (Identity number ) (the “Complainant”) hereby request, and consent to Absa Bank Limited, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, agents and/or suppliers (“Absa”) carrying out an investigation of my computer hardware, software, (including but not limited to my desktop, laptop, portable tablets and/or similar devices, cloud services and storage, web-based and app-based email and messaging services, etc.), and any data or information stored thereon (collectively the “Computer System”) for the purpose of ascertaining the source, cause and scope of certain ********** activities perpetrated in relation to any banking activities conducted by me with Absa Bank Limited (the “Investigation”). I further consent to, where Absa Bank Limited deems it necessary, the removal of all my Computer Systems from my possession into Absa Bank Limited possession to be assessed on Absa’s premises. I hereby indemnify and hold Absa Bank Limited harmless from and against any and all (present or future) claims, demands, actions, suits, losses, costs, charges, expenses, damages, and liabilities of whatsoever nature and howsoever caused, suffered by me (my person or property) or any other person whose information may be stored on my Computer System, as a result, directly or indirectly, of the Investigation being carried out by Absa including, without limiting the generality of the foregoing, all costs and expenses (including legal expenses as between attorney and own client) incurred in connection with any such loss or damage. I hereby acknowledge and agree that Absa may use, process and store any information or data acquired during the course of the Investigation and reasonably related thereto, and as such waive any rights of privacy and confidentiality in respect thereof. Furthermore, I acknowledge and accept that information obtained during the course of the Investigation can be disclosed, used or shared with third parties for purposes reasonably related to the Investigation. Notwithstanding the aforementioned, I acknowledge and accept that Absa will, where required to do so by law, inform and report any ******* information or evidence related to any ******* activity that has been found on my Computer System during the Investigation, to the appropriate authorities. I acknowledge that Absa shall not, in consequence of having performed the Investigation detailed above incur the obligation to make any modifications, enhancements, repairs or recommendations in respect of my Computer System, nor shall it be obliged to disclose the outcome, conclusion or any working documents in respect of the Investigation. In the event that Absa may, in its discretion, make any such modifications, enhancements, repairs or recommendations, I waive any claim I may have in respect of any loss or damages which I may suffer in respect of any subsequent ********** activities or from any other cause whatsoever.
