ABSA FINANCES 2020 VEHICLE THAT IS ACTUALLY 2017

Bought a vehicle through dealership - all paper work FROM BANK, Enatis documents etc say it is a 2020 model. Went for its 1st service on Thursday to be informed that this car is not a 2020 it is a 2017 model and that this is its 3rd service, and that all the warranties etc are expiring soon. Called dealership and was told to come chose another car. I want ABSA to cancel this deal, give me my money back and take this car back . This is ***** and misrepresentation, why did ABSA not due its Due Diligence, they have ABSA on the floor In the dealership, did the F&i I not do due diligence. Been sent from Pillar to post - now trying to get Ombudsman, but don't get through

Received an email from Rezona on Monday - I have rep**** to that email about 3 times. Had no reply, feedback as to where or what is happening. I have also told ABSA Rezona, that I want my money refunded that I have paid for insurance, bank can refund that too, as I have had to pay premiums for a 2020 model that is a 2017 model. Be reminded that you have to prove insurance before bank will release the vehicle, that insurance document says 2020 as well. I have informed the bank that I will cancel this debit order and insurance, and I am not driving it as the warranties are not valid either. Now Wed 15h05. THIS IS A NO BRAINER, ITS ***** and misrepresentation, selling a 2020 car that is a 2017 - take it back, refund me. Then I will gt another car at a different dealer, and Hopefully ABSA will check that their Bank staff , that is accredited by the FSB , and trained properly to check that the correct paperwork is in order, so as not to have this again. Perhaps they will also look at better interest rates, as the rate offered for this deal is sad, considering the interest rate is so low, and after this I should think they offer much better rates. But lets see how long this will drag. Perhaps this need to put this on more social media platforms, and even Carte Blanche

Received an email on 13 May , was told ABSA will come back before or by 17th - they need to investigate. Today 17th May- after 13h00 sent an email to say we have not heard anything. Told ABSA that its a no brainer - refund all monies paid, incl premiums to insurance company, as we paying for the value of a 2020 vehicle. Also told ABSA we will find new dealership and get new car. Told ABSA to keep all monies on hold, then they can put those funds toward new car, and then they still have our business and then also give a better rate, as they gave 10,5 % interest when the rate is at 7%.

Still no response and it is now 15h20???

I would like to report the socking further outcome of this ordeal. Bought a 2020 vehicle. ABSA FINANCE has financed it. Have taken it to the ombudsman to report the dealer, as instructed by ABSA ***** DIVISION as they heard the case. Dealership has been given 10 days to report back which he has not. Only one call on the day OMBUDSMAN contacted him,to say he will fit the bill for costs incurred for the "FIRST SERVICE" - it was actually the 3rd service, and said he will send an email with his offer. to date nothing. ABSA on HELLO PETER came back and apologized and refered to ABSA Vehicle Finance who have come with a letter to say they cant do anything, the dealership must sort it out and we must contact OMBUDSMAN - we made ABSA aware that we have contacted ombudsman have a case no. ABSA never knew this, ABSA also never knew that dealer offered to pay all costs involved for the service which should have been the first service. Why would you offer to pay a service of a vehicle when you have sold a 2020 car in Nov. The HP LAW says The finance in a hire purchase is secured against the car. This means that until the agreement is paid off in full, the car remains the property of the finance company. Once you have paid off everything, including any fees to complete the agreement, you officially become the owner of the car . ABSA says sorry not our problem, case closed. I have asked to escalate to HELLO PETER ABSA division, Head of Vehicle Finance and *****. I will escalate this to all other social media platforms, cause clearly ASBSA FINANCES ********** DEALS. FNB, STANDARD BANK AND NEDBANK, i am sure would gladly have sorted this out. - But ABSA thinks it is okay for me to pay for a 2020 car that is a 2017 car. ABSA says the dealer says it is a 202o model - I have paperwork to prove not so - and the 2017 model never came with bluetooth, hence i have no bluetooth.

ABSA states that we saw the vehicle prior us purchasing it, and we were happy with the car, so we did inspect car. To which we rep**** yes - but no one showed us the wrongfull paperwork - would I have signed for a 2017 car and charged and given paperwork that says 2020 and "BE HAPPY" with it.

I have paperwork to show ownership of this car from 2016 and ABSA STILL WATS TO TELL ME ITS A 2020 - so we will wash our hands or as they say and I quote fro their correspondence "Based on the above our office considers the matter as closed. "
I have given ABSA till 10h30 today to given me the requested escalation contacts. they have 10 more minutes and i dont see an email coming in yet

received an email at 14h15, after i requested information this morning and asked to reply by 10h30. i asked for contact information for people in higher positions that i may escalate this too. Rezona Louw the social media lady says they cant help, case closed, I must wait for the ombudsman. No information given to escalate this to. YET ABSA has finance this, if you finance it you own it, so you are supposed to help you own the asset!
