Absa FICA issues

I need assistance with my FICA documents. I received a mail 4 weeks ago requesting my ID and proof of residence which I submitted online. (I have submitted my FICA documents in the past and had no issues). One week later I received an email to say my name on my ID did not match the name on my account (even though the name used to address me in the email is the same as my ID, which must have been taken from my account) I phoned customer care and the consultant checked and said everything was in order. He then apparently checked on the home affairs database and said there was no issue. Another week goes by and I receive another email to say I now have 14 days to submit my documents or I will no longer be able do transactions on my account. Again I submit my documents and follow up by phoning customer care, who tells me they have my proof of residence but not my ID, even though I have sent it through numerous times at this point. She sends FICA an email and says they will email me. I have not heard anything from them. A week later I have now received another notice, a 7day notice to submit my documents. So once again I phone customer care and the lady can’t tell me anything but that she will send FICA an email to contact me. I cannot believe no one can help me. I run the risk of having my account frozen and no one is either willing or able to help me. Why is it so difficult to get hold of FICA to find out the problem? This situation is causing me unnecessary anxiety, I have a family to look after, I cannot afford to have my account frozen. Really disappointing service from Absa, it’s making me rethink where I bank going forward.
