Absa Fees
I went to ABSA Savannah in Polokwane to deposit money @the ATM. That function was not working on all 3 machines. I went inside and the cashier told me it will cost R 148 in fees to deposit R 1200. I complained by sending an email to ABSA . Faith Mavuso gave me this answer" that ABSA charges R 4 per R 100. Which comes to R 48. I asked her where does the R 148 come from . This is her response"We are unable to answer on behalf of the branch consultant". So means ABSA in Savannah Mall Polokwane is *********** it's clients. PATHETIC!!! You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

10 Jul 2024, 09:29Good day. I did not deposit the money , cause I was not going to pay that amount. So I left. The cashier asked me why I don't use the ATM to deposit my money , I told it is not working. Then she asked me how much I wanted to deposit and then told me it is going to cost me R 148 to deposit R 1200. She didn't seem to want to help me in the first place. I'm bringing this to ABSA's attention cause how many people were ********** like this.

The matter regarding the cash deposit fee(R148) was escalated to the branch-mandated officials who immediately acknowledged the error on the part of the branch staff and apologised for the incorrect information. The staff member who assisted you is still a junior in the branch who did not have sufficient knowledge to address your query. A discussion has been held with the staff member and coaching has been provided to consult the pricing guidelines to be able to confirm accurate information to customers. We understand that branch management contacted you to discuss the matter. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us and we trust that your future dealings with the branch will be more pleasant. Please feel free to let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you regarding this matter. Our office will close the case if we do not hear from you by 11/07/2024.
