I sold my car through Fastbuy in December. The experience was painless until it came to sorting out the amount I would need to pay for the shortfall and the terms and conditions of Fastbuy.
The consultant who was helping me resigned during the time my car was being sold and no one else was assigned to my query. I tried calling Fastbuy throughout January (they even have records supporting this) but I received no help as the consultant had resigned and the team lead was never available on the phone.
They eventually cc'd her (team lead) manager then the team lead rushed to call me and sort out the issue I had.
However, currently, ABSA has listed me as a defaulter, even though I have never missed a single payment. If you sell your car through Fastbuy you get listed until you pay off your debt, they treat it like a repossession. This is not something they mentioned or made me aware of, because otherwise, I wasn't going to sell my car.
If you want to sell your car-don't use Fastbuy-you will get listed on the credit bureau vendors and you won't be able to get any credit.
The experience has been terrible using Fastbuy, no one picks up your call, no one explains fully what you're getting yourself into
