Absa false advertising on interest rates

I invested money in a fixed deposit. According to absa the product was outdated and they therefore did not pay the interest on the account as advertised on their website, but approximately a third less. I sent several emails (more than five) requesting an investigation and printouts of the interest given on this account, but only received a curt pr response and thereafter silence.

I received a reply from Absa requesting the account details, that was given to them on 1 August 2018 no acknowledgement or response as yet...........

Dear Claudette, Thank you for your response. Did you also note that I rep**** to Mr Lenake's email on the 19th June and 17th July? I have had no response on my request for a breakdown on the interest paid on these accounts. It seems that Absa is trying to avoid giving me the information by either not responding or sending answers like yours. I reiterate: My request has not been attended to. I am not entitled to information regarding interest paid on my investments?

Once again I received a reply from Absa with incorrect information, making it sound as if they had responded to my request for a breakdown on the interest paid on my investment - they refuse to give me the information. They are evading the issue because they did not pay the interest rate advertised on their website. They will not escalate my response or give me the details of a specific person to deal with.
