ABSA Estates Department - Dismal service

My father passed away in June 2021. His last Will and Testament is with ABSA, and they are according to the Will to be appointed as the Executor of the Estate. It took 3 weeks to set up a meeting with them, a further 6 weeks later. We want them to renounce their claim on the Executor-ship, that I can be appointed. ABSA wants us to pay in the "shortfall" of over R 380 000.00 before they work on the file, we don't have that amount available, or we should give them permission to sell the house my mother is living in. If I am appointed, this 'shortfall' is less than R 30 000, as I will not claim the executors fee + VAT, and all the other provisions are excessive amounts. It has now been 7 weeks after the appointment and they have to date not answered any of my numerous calls, and only answered one of my emails on a day I called their office every half hour. ABSA is greedy by not renouncing their executor-ship, while it is clearly evident that they are incapable of doing the work, as they refuse to answer emails or calls. I email a followup at least 3 times a week, and am just met with silence. If ABSA renounced the executor-ship, on our first request, the estate of my father would have been close to finalization, however, I am left begging Franklin Makue to answer my emails. We have even gone as far as to offer ABSA a portion of the Executors fee in exchange for their renunciation, but this is also met with more silence. ABSA does not value its customers, and their Estates department is in a dismal state, with uncaring individuals working there.
