ABSA ENABLES ***** WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

Reported a ***** on the 23/03/2026 before the funds could clear, forced to close the card for the 2nd time in a week, contacted the paystack myself after being told by ABSA to wait 20 days for the ***** investigator to contact me, reached agreement with paystack to hold off on payment pending investigation against the merchant, paystack simply requires Absa to send a charge dispute instruction so they can investigate the merchant and refund my money and possibly prevent others from falling victim, phoned Absa ***** line with ref number, customer care and premuim banking, even authorizatiin dept, informed them of paystacks willjngness and even offered to forward email communications with paystack to them, unfortunately nobody seems to have a clue how to do that, instead I get sent from pillar to post while time ticks, all agents are poorly trained, clueless and useless, especially their so called ***** investigators. ABSA have no inclination or competency to deal with *****, in fact they indirectly enable it, while they benefit from bank charges from these transactions. Last year August I lost over R60k due to cyber *****, no telephone contact ever received from the ***** investigator, only an email saying they couldn't recover my money. As an ABSA client you are on your own.

I am still waiting for a reply on this issue, whose resolution is simple. Absa should contact paystack, notify them of the dispute and reverse the charge. I have spoken to paystack and they are still waiting for a notice from Absa. Repudiating my ***** complaint o the basis that the transaction was authorised is idiotic, especially where I never alleged that Absa is at fault. Teach Kwinda how to deal with clients, her manager was also contacted telephonically and via email to no avail, as such, it is an inherent defect in your ***** division. Absa needs to do better and stop indirectly facilitatimg or benefiting from *****. As a customer, my instruction was simply to dispute the transaction, and secure justice for me.

This matter should be referred to corporate disputes and not Absa *****, you dont seem to have a clue how this process works and are advising me from a position of ignorance, while paying lip service to actually doing something constructive. Reverse the payment pending investigation where the merchant will reveal himself to be legitimate. You are facilitating ***** because you only seem interested in whether Absa can be blamed and not actually intervening to assist clients. There are different types of ***** and you seem fixated on only one type where card details or account info are ******, but you forget that in an ever changing mercantile environment, a sale is completed when delivery is made, not when payment is authorized. My instrutions to Absa was to freeze the transaction, instead you released the funds and are now embarassingly trying to legitimize your incongruencies. Your ***** combating methods and philosophy are out dated and your ineptitude is failing your customers, by following an old script and failing to keep up to commercial developments. Absa has failed me again.
