Absa Dragonpass substandard service
I app**** for Dragonpass airport lounge service via Absa as an Absa client. I meant to have received a dragonpass membership number so that I can register on the Dragonpass app and access my digital ID card for use at airport lounges at my own convenience I started paying for the service but for about 3 months they failed to provide me with a Membership number. They kept on citing that Dragonpass is having IT problems. That went on for about 2 to 3 months! This means I was paying for a substandard service. They wanted me to contact dragonpass and ask for vouchers prior to travelling, thus eradicating the convenience aspect of being in control of the service. It's a half baked service and I didn't even get a membership number
When I threatened to cancel my membership, Absa then proposed deregistration and Reregistration with Dragonpass. This was done and I eventually received a membership number. I then tried to register on the app. This time the app said it didn't recognise my details.
I complained again and phoned Dragonpass, which is based in the UK by the way! They said it's again an IT fault and they could not give me a time frame as to how long it would take to get resolved I complained to Absa again and they sent me the same silly old response that it's an IT problem on Dragonpass side and that I can request vouchers when I travel
So i was back at square one. How long does dragonpass take to sort out an IT problem? It's gone 3 months already. Why is Absa accepting substandard service from Dragonpass, who I assume has a service level agreements with Absa. Why does Absa use dragonpass located in UK... It's such a mission to deal with them remotely. Why is Absa even offering dragonpass to its clients at a price if this is the type of service they provide! Why doesn't Absa tell it's clients upfront that we will not receive dragonpass membership numbers nor access to the app so expect to be asking for vouchers in advance everytime you travel. Even worse some airport lounges expect you to print your vouchers before you enter the lounge
Such pathetic and substandard service from Absa and dragonpass
For three months Absa and dragonpass has been unable to resolve this problem for me, yet I'm a platinum client!
