Absa doesn't give value for money service to businesses.
A very disturbing moment with Absa , I opened a business account. I then transact for a few months , I take a business trip to Bitswana. That's where my nightmare started. I make a withdrawal at a botswana atm for 2000 pula. My charges are up to R3000 rands for that particular month. I send emails trying to find out how possible it was , nothing. I stop using the account and move my money out. They send an email telling me I have a banker , I try get in touch with the banker , till this day I haven't got through. I was expecting payment from my clients, payment bounces. No warning of closure or anything. I contact absa , someone replies and tells me the account has been owing R4100 for over 6 months. They have handed over the account and never notified me. I contact them asking they activate account to recieve funds so that I can settle the account , guess what ? They refused. Why are we even doing business with such people ? All they care about is taking money from us. Now I must go open new bank account and send it to every client that has the old banking details , plus go and change banking details on the csd of government treasury. I think absa is just a mess and leeches.
