Absa Doesn’t Care: Left Helpless While Unauthorized Debit Orders Drain My Account

I’m honestly so fed up with the way Absa is doing things these days. It really makes me question if they even care about their customers anymore or if they actually want to do their jobs. Some useless lady named Tessman Meyer casually told me that banks “can’t stop debit orders” and that I must run around calling people myself to cancel it. Like seriously?

So what happens if someone ****s me and drains my account? Am I still going to get the same useless response? This is exactly the kind of lazy, don’t-care attitude that’s driving people crazy. I cancelled this service FOUR MONTHS AGO and I’m STILL getting charged, and now Absa just shrugs and does nothing to help.

Why is it so hard to just put an option on the app to stop a debit order if you won’t do it yourselves? This is beyond frustrating. Don’t use Absa—they clearly don’t care, and when something goes wrong, you’re completely on your own while your money disappears. Absolutely disgusting.
