Absa does not care -specifically about the elderly

It is concerning how Absa bank is treating my parents. It has now been nearly a month that my mother is no longer able to access Absa online. This follows recent changes at Absa re Secondary Cards. They are been send from pillar to post while Absa is unwilling or unable to assist. They say that one of the tests of society (including companies) is the way we treat the elderly. It is lack of service and blaming Covid for it that makes one consider breaking a 45 year business relationship with Absa. The question to ask - has banks like Absa become to big to care or is it a simple reality of incompetence

No response from Absa. What is the future for Absa if this is the way it treats it’s clients and in particular those who are 80 years old. Or is this another blame it on COVID-19 excuse ?

Following escalation to Absa head office the matter has been resolved and my parents are able to access Absa On-Line as before. i trust that Absa root cause analyses to learn grom this example and prevent re-occurrence. Thank you to who ever in Absa gave the matter attention it deserved
