ABSA does not care about giving proper service to pensioners.

My mother, a 67 year old pensioner, recently withdrew money from a Sasolburg ABSA teller (outside the bank) on the 2nd of December more or less at 9:30. The ATM malfunctioned and did not give the cash as it was supposed to. She went into the bank and approached a lady at the help desk in an attempt to have this addressed. Instead of helping her, she was told by the attendant to get into the cue to have it addressed by one of the tellers. The cue was a very long cue and she had to wait for an hour to be helped. She is a pensioner and she had no way of knowing that the money would be reimbursed automatically when the machine detected that the money was not issued. I think that it is really pathetic service to treat a pensioner in this fashion. She has been a client of this bank for 47 years, and they cannot take the time to properly address her concerns when she approached the help desk. Instead she was fobbed off, when she was obviously distressed. Really terrible service.
