So I took homeowners insurance with absa I however phoned early august to cancel. The person I dealt with let me know it has been cancelled no monies would be collected. Of course this was ******* absa homeowners insurance not only collected on time I had to go into the bank to reverse the transaction and I had to pay R40 for this. What is going on in absa. This is unfair practice. I must pay because absa is not hiring qualified people to follow through on transactions correctly. All I want is my R1 back for the debit order fee and I want the R40 back Since when do people pay for absa’s mistakes It’s like my neighbor having to pay for my speeding fine Please people make sure when cancelling anything ask for written proof the debit order ihas been cancelled with a ref number and name of person handling your case What’s more offensive is one must go through a 1000 questions before they help you for security reasons then they tell you this call is being recorded for security reasons and thirdly taking out Insurance with absa is quick and easy and debit order runs like clockwork but when their services is no longer needed you pay dearly because the customer/client not only has to do their job but think for them and yourself as well Absa better correct this horrific injustice since I did everything correct from my side and trusted a person with this information Absa needs to make an app where clients can log a cancellation and an operator to phone you back to follow through and then like I said earlier a notification of cancellation etc…. Absa makes up their own rules as they go ahead This must end
