ABSA disgusting treatment for a 20 year loyal customer

I recently app**** online for a personal loan in December 2016, which was approved. I then paused the loan as I was not ready for it. I then reapp**** online in January 2017, but was not able to continue as the application could not confirm my "Residential Status".

So I went in to the Absa West Street branch in durban to apply with a consultant. My consultant was Phumla Mabandla, she asked for my ID and Payslip, but later told me to continue with the loan tha I must produce my SARS IRP5. So I did. She then left for 20 minutes to copnsult her manager and phone my HR department.

Apparently my UIF contributions on my payslip was incorect, I was actually paying to much and based on that my loan was declined, further more Phumla informed me that I could never reapply for a loan from Absa ever again. Even if my payslip was readjusted to reflect the correct amount. Bear in mind that this was and error on my HR department and not from me.

I then told her that there is no point in me having an Absa account if I cannot apply for a loan when needed, so I may as while just close my account and move to FNB. She then gave me "Savings Closing Enquiry" print out and told where I must go to close my account. Not once did she show any interest in keeping me as a customer of Absa.

Also I had previously taken out a loan with Absa in 2010 for an amount of R30 000. I had app**** for this loan online and was approved in 24 hours. I had never missed a payment and thought that I had a good credit rating with Absa.

Is this how Absa treats a loyal 20 year customer?

Update:

Got a phone call from Sabashny Moodley of Absa to come

and see Rodney Reddy (Branch Manager)

Went in with all my documents and all was resolved, loan approved in under 20 minutes.

Thanks for the excellent service.
