ABSA DESERTS PENSIONER

I have a friend, an elderly lady, a pensioner on her own who has house insurance with ABSA. Her geyser burst and her pipe for her toilet leaked but ABSA refuses to repair the carpets because they are old or even compensate her BUT they take her premium every year...... I feel because she is old and does not insist enough they are taking advantage of her.
