ABSA delays in releasing Deceased Estate funds

Both my parents passed away 6 months apart. My Mum has investments at ABSA. As the Executor, I provided ABSA with all the documents needed to have the funds released. They have been delaying releasing the funds for over a month, a process I went through with Nedbank & the funds were paid out in 3 days. Further to that they have never given me an update on where the matter is despite me having given them original documents and all my contact details. This money does not belong to ABSA so why do they delay the release of these funds? ABSA is ********* & it is disgusting that people in mourning, the heirs, must beg for their inheritance from this Bank. If someone senior at ABSA does not liaise with me within 24 hours, I will be escalating this matter to the Banking Ombutsman!
