ABSA deceiving customers with incorrect information

I have a credit card with ABSA that is in arrears, I was contacted by one of their internal recoveries representative to make arrangements to settle the account. We had an agreement of a discounted amount to be paid within 3 months.

In order for the agreement to be actioned, they required me to make payment first and thereafter I will receive a written communication of the agreement (this seemed legitimate for me as I had similar experience with FNB). However, to this day I have not received the communication even after making multiple payments, I have contacted the brand numerous times however no one seems to give feedback or make an attempt to find out who made an agreement with me.

I am now told there is no agreement in place even after I have shared my events.
