ABSA DECEASED ESTATES

Absa Deceased Estate

I have received nothing but the most frustrating & atrocious service from ABSA Deceased estate department, or no service at all; I have been trying since the beginning of January 2020 to have the deceased’s Absa account closed and monies transferred to the E/L banking account. I have e-mailed all documents required and my fica screening passed, not once but on several occasions and I have phoned the dreaded call centre line which inevitably takes a holding time of at least 30minutes whereafter you are either cut off before speaking to a consultant or told by a consultant that ‘they have sent an e-mail to expedite’ the matter although 3 months later, I’m yet to receive the monies or an e-mail confirming progress. ABSA needs to seriously consider sending their consultants back to office so that they can offer a better service!
