Absa decease department - wont listen to reason, money hungry *******

I have never came across an institution that is so aggressive and money hungry as absa

my father passed last year and i got a law firm to handle the estate, the will was an old will from a small unknown bank, so i proceeded to gather all the necessary paper work only for the masters of the high court to say that absa need to be executor and will need to get a letter of renunciation for them so the law office can carry on with winding up of the estate the lawyers tried to make contact, and took them almost 2 months to get through, without of office replies for weeks and also promise to get a call back, when finally they got the right person, its been told that they do not want to renunciate

this what i wrote:

Hi Linda This is Wayne Shaw, Son of the Late Colin Shaw I am disappointed about the decision made, and ask if its possible to ask the your management to please reconsider Firstly I am the only child and looking after my Mom, who has been a full time housewife and I have a fulltime job and went through a harrowing process of collecting ,scanning and getting documents certified , phoning places that my Dad had accounts and giving all that information to the law office so now they have been in contact with law office and now I have to go through that process again which I don’t have time for as I am man alone getting information needed and its exhausting for me Also they offered 50% discount on the administration costs of the estate which I doubt that ABSA or anyone else can offer and that means the law office needs to be paid and ABSA, I want to keep expenses small so my Mom can benefit, also the law office just needs the renunciation as I have already built up a rapport with the law firm and they have everything ready to go Also I have been waiting a long time due to my mom getting her new Id as there was issues which have been sorted thanks to the law office and some other issues along the way, and I have been paying for all household expenses so the monthly costs has been heavy on me so that why I need to get this moving and I foresee that if it gets taken over its going to be another long process which I don’t have time and cannot financially handle So please reconsider, also I would not hesitate to speak to management directly

this is their response:

Good day Mr, Shaw Management declined the renunciation request and Absa will continue with the administration of the estate as per the nomination on the Will. I have forwarded your email below to the manager. Kind regards

they got the will on a technicality, it was not addressed to them directly, they are after money money money, i will also be closing my and my Mothers bank accounts and moving to fnb

also not to mention after reading all the complaints about their deceased department how *********** they are, absa is terrible and never ever bank or anything else with them
