ABSA Debt Review Service/****

Hello Peter, so a couple of years back I went in under debt review due to my then financial status. All companies including ABSA who is supposed to understand the debt review process agreed. A few months later before the account was finalized in court, ABSA terminated the debt review process and the account went back to normal both fees and interest. Out of distress, I went into a different agreement with ABSA which is not connected to debt review and since then (2018) I have been keeping to that agreement to pay my account. Finally I have paid up all other accounts that kept to the debt review process and have received my paid up letters, however due to ABSA I cannot receive my clearance letter even though they themselves acknowledge having terminated the debt review process. My question now is how fair is it that I must be bound by a contract that ABSA decided to pull out of, and how many clients are they even treating like this by pretending they care when they do not because my account is even subject to the interest increase due to inflation but they make themselves seem like they care. A debt review agreement will not take into consideration the clients financial status and come back again and keep adjusting their agreed upon installments. This is just one way to prove that I am not under debt review and why then am I bound by ABSA under an agreement which they pulled out on? Or is their pretense actually to milk the client of more money under the umbrella of reconstructing account? With the agreement I am under, they have actually made more money out of my distress situation and I did not mind but for them to turn around and want to hold me under a terminated agreement is inhumane even the NCR needs to know about such. If you wish, I can also give you the details of the debt counselors that were supposed to handle the situation and communicate with ABSA not to terminate the agreement because even them now they are not doing anything.
