Absa customer service atrocious again!
I tried to call through customer services to ask if they can call me back. A straight NO! I asked to talk to a manager and I was put in hold until my airtime ran out. I have been with ABSA for almost 10 years and this is absolutely atrocious customer service. Never felt so undervalued by a company, capitec, here I come. My girlfriend always gets friendly service and callbacks when needed. ABSA can go to hell they charged me R320 in bank charges for now ****ing reason this month!

03 Jan 2020, 14:11Thank you for your call but after going to the branch I feel extremely betrayed by Absa. I started my journey with you many years back and while I was working you guys never gave me any issues and I supported your business with taking out loans and always having money in my account. Now that I am a student I thought this company would take care of me since I will have a very good job when I finish university. But alas, Absa is too big a company to care about individuals.
I understand that there are automated systems but when explaining a predicament, surely there is some way to help the customer. I now leave this company with a sour taste in my mouth and a knife in my back.
Please dont contact me unless you guys agree to reverse my much needed food money (R251) back into my account that you took as admin fees. I know it can be done because it has been done for me by another bank in the past.
If you refuse to do this and go ahead and keep an unemployed man's Christmas money then Goodbye and good riddance.
