Absa crying for a mere R5500

I have a credit card facility with Virgin Money which has been taken over by Absa. I have become unemployed, no income since March 2020. I have sent these to them on various occasions (all relevant documentation), but to date their lawyers - which I understand according to law, is not even supposed to contact me - constantly send me emails from different people in their company. Amazingly, I had a very large debt with another company - R23K, which was written off, on receipt of the same documentation. Absa cries for R5500. Why can this not be treated in the same way? Are they that desperate for money that they constantly ask me to arrange a payment? With what? Do they not understand the concept of NO INCOME
