Absa *****ing customers

Absa and credit card division are all ******. About 5 months ago my wife went to see a consultant in Festival mall in Kempton Park to adviser on what is the best options how to save money on a savings account which she has with ABSA for the past 25 years. this consultant insisted that my wife apply for a credit card, after so many pressure from the consultant, eventually my wife agreed. after a week my wife received a sms to collect the card, that time my wife lost a mum and 2 months later she went to the brunch to collect the card, when she got to the brunch she was told that the card is no longer with the bruch and she needs to reapply again, my wife said that she is no longer interested in the credit card and isnt going to reaplly, but the lady that handles the card collection did not inform my wife that even without the card she will still going to be charged every month for card fees. Only yesterday she received a first statement and when we saw the charges we decided to go and see the consultant that force my wife to sign for the credit card, we were told that we must pay the 65 rand outstanding on the credit card for fee charges. we went to pay the 65 rand cash at the teller and went back to the consultant to phone card division, we than were told that we must pay another 9 rand for cash fee (15%) guess what, you pay 9 rand, than again you must pay another 9 rand for the cash fee of the 9 rand that you paid previously and so on. how conviniente stilling money from poor working people. i advise my wife to go in tomorrow and just close the savings account and finish with Absa.
