Absa credit ***** case

I logged an Absa ***** case on 02.12.19 for a credit limit that was automatically exceeded. This is despite the fact that Absa explicitly mentioned that the credit limit rule on THEIR credit card cannot be bypassed. The Absa consultant mentioned it would take 2 days for me to get an initial update after qualifying the case to forward to their ***** department. I then followed up with 3 additional Absa consultants and on my third attempt was I told on this call that my case will now be escalated and that the Absa credit limit rule being bypassed, should not have happened and this is an Absa problem that should be fixed. Despite Absa's knowledge of this known issue, a case that is clearly an Absa problem can still impact Absa customers financially and in terms of inconvenience. In light of this my learnings are that Absa is inefficient, their business processes are not integrated and to a large extent broken and they operate with the same attitude as SOEs - by not prioritising their clients.
