ABSA CREDIT DEDUCTED R10404.80 WITHOUT MY PERMISSION DESPITE MAKING A PAYMENT ARRANGEMENT

Due to the cashflow constraints that I had, my absa credit card went into arears and I spoke to an absa consultant on the 15th of May 2020 to make a payment arrangement. to my surprise on the 25th of May ABSA took R10 404.80 from my account without my permission leaving me to starve with no money for food or even partial pay for some of the essentials like water & electricity. I tried to call the different numbers and the consultants were not helpful as they gave me different information others even confirming that the reversal will be done and money will be transferred back into my account to no avail. This has really disappointed me especial having been an absa client for more than two decades to be treated this way was very unfair and when my cashflow improves I am definitely moving my accounts to another bank that will respect me.

following on from my report above, ABSA contacted me and amicably resolved my issue. The money deducted from my account was refunded back into my account. Thank you ABSA for bringing back my confidence in you by showing that there are people who care in your organisation
